Ask a Pharmacist (on Facebook)
Yes, everyone and everything needs to be on Facebook. I remember like yesterday, and it was only a little over two years ago that over the table at a pharmacy social event a colleague was asking me if I was on Facebook.
“What?” I replied
“Facebook.”
“Huh?”
“Facebook!”
I understood the words but they made no sense, so I assumed I was hearing wrong. Anyway. Within the past few days I have setup an ‘Ask a Pharmacist’ Facebook page so people can connect with other pharmacy folk. Only after a few days we are edging toward 200 people so far, lots of uni students I suspect judging by some of the profile pics that are coming though.
It’s a great way of getting notified of new blog entries here, getting in touch with others in your profession, and if you look at some of the photos, perhaps being slightly horrified. Seriously, two profile pics deserve a special mention, the guy getting a little too attached to his Yoshi stuffed toy, and the guy that looks like his about to lunge at you through the screen, disturbing.
To those seeing this post via Facebook, you’ve obviously already joined, if you have any suggestions for the site, send them through.
